Just like how in English where there is more than one word for a meaning there is more than one sign for a specific meaning in ASL. In this video I am showing how the signs can change depending on the meaning.

I also discuss how using an ASL dictionary should be a last resort to learning a sign and the video discusses why that it.

This video is to get you thinking in ASL and I hope that now when you are signing you are asking yourself, “does this sign match my meaning”?

Hi Cindi,
There are actually subtitles in this video. Sometimes they don’t stay up on the screen long enough *still working out the kinks* Some of the earlier videos don’t have subtitles but the last five or so do :) Let me know if you still can’t get the subtitles up.
